Building Description
The building where Antioch Missionary Baptist Church is located has not always been a Baptist church. The church building was purchased by Antioch MBC in 1984. However, when it originally opened its doors, it was Augustana Lutheran Church. The church was not only used as a church, but it was also used as a school. The main sanctuary was added in 1956, which is where we currently conduct our Sunday services. Traditionally, Baptist churches do not have stained glass. Due to its beginnings as a Lutheran church, there is original stained glass in the sanctuary. The basement consists of the Louis S. Beauchamp Fellowship Hall, baptismal pool, restrooms, women’s lounge and a full kitchen area.
