Designed by Henry C. Koch and opened in 1883, the iconic Turner Hall is a National Historic Landmark.

Turner Hall was built in 1883 under the direction of Turner member and architect Henry Koch, who also designed the Milwaukee City Hall and the Pfister Hotel. Turner Hall is a designated Milwaukee landmark, as well as a state and national historic landmark. It is home to the Milwaukee Turners, a progressive organization founded by German immigrants in 1853. The cream city brick structure includes a restaurant, gymnasium, ballroom, meeting and social areas, and an installation commemorating Turners who fell in the Civil War. Its unique interior decoration (including murals and stained glass) testifies to the history of an organization that was entwined with Milwaukee socialism and continues to offer gymnastics and collaborative opportunities to advance social justice in Milwaukee.
The space contains the Turner Ballroom venue, operated by the Pabst Group, as well as a restaurant operated by Turning Tables, and a gymnasium with a climbing wall.
Guided tours led by Turner volunteers will be offered during Doors Open, showcasing the unique art and history of the building.
