The Tippecanoe Walk is where pioneers James Howard, Isaac Austin and Morgan Burdick had their farms. We will visit John Saveland’s real estate developments of Lincoln Park and Bunker Hill which feature a diverse housing stock on some of the largest lots in the city. Saveland’s home is next to Saveland Park, a remnant of his Lake Tippecanoe Amusement Park. Nearby, Tippecanoe Presbyterian Church is built on the foundation of John Saveland’s dance hall, which was built on the foundation of Isaac Austin’s barn. The old Lake Town Hall was located on Howell and Howard (site of the Tippecanoe Library).
