Ever admire a building with sculptures of winged lions, dolphins, and squirrels? The firm Martin Tullgren & Sons designed some of the most elaborate buildings with architectural terra cotta in Milwaukee.  These landmarks, such as the Bertelson Building and the George Watts Tea Shop, have many intricate details.  Ben Tyjeski will present on motifs and patterns that the family used to make their buildings beautiful and unique.  Much of this work is also featured in his book, Architectural Terra Cotta of Milwaukee County.
