The Plankinton Arcade first opened as a shopping center in 1916, modeled on a shopping arcade in Milan, Italy. The building was designed by architects Holabird & Roche (now Holabird & Root), a Chicago based duo who were responsible for designing some of the world’s first skyscrapers. In 2018, the building became home to the Plankinton Clover apartments with skywalk connections to the newly completed 3rd Street Market Hall. Apartment units utilize the existing storefronts, creating unique indoor verandas.
Visit the Plankinton Clover and view their amenity spaces including a pickle ball court and doggy gym as well as a unique apartment unit.
