The Main Street Approach on Milwaukee’s MLK Drive

Learn about the history and future of King Drive with Deshea Agee, Executive Director, Historic King Drive BID.

King Drive commercial corridor in the Main Street that connects Harambee, Halyard Park, Brewer’s Hill and Haymarket Square. This important Milwaukee street bearing Dr. King’s name was recently extended to downtown renaming Old World Third Street, an important step toward racial reconciliation and cohesive urban planning.

Agee will discuss current and future developments, efforts to improve and elevate perception of this thriving corridor, urban planning and pedestrian design, and gentrification and anti-displacement efforts in the neighborhoods surrounding Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Drive.

This program will be held on Zoom Webinar. Attendees will receive a link to join the program the day before the event.
