Volunteer for Doors Open 2019!
Doors Open Milwaukee is a two-day public celebration of Milwaukee’s art, architecture, culture and history. This event features tours of 150 buildings throughout metro Milwaukee. We are seeking volunteer greeters to welcome and count visitors at Doors Open sites during a 4 hour shift.
As a non-profit organization, Historic Milwaukee relies heavily on its volunteers in all facets of the organization. Volunteers conduct our walking tours as well as assist with research projects and day-to-day office activities. All special events need volunteers in order to be successful.
If you are interested in volunteering with Historic Milwaukee, please complete the form below and someone from our office will be in touch. You could also email [email protected]
Become a Student Tour Guide!
Since 1981, Historic Milwaukee has served Milwaukee-area school children with history lessons through our Student Tours. It involves a 1.5-hour walking tour of downtown Milwaukee for students in grades 3 through 12. HMI has trained guides that lead the school groups throughout our city.
If your available on weekdays and enjoy working with kids, please consider becoming a student tour guide in spring or fall.
