Historic Milwaukee continues to grow from the generous donations from our members and donors.

Historic Milwaukee is wrapping up a year of exciting programming and looking ahead to 2024, which will mark our 50th anniversary.

Our walking tours were named the best tour by Milwaukee Magazine, a wonderful tribute to our staff and volunteer guides.

Our largest program, Doors Open Milwaukee, featured more than 132 sites and drew 73,211 site visits in September. Thanks to a $20,000 grant from the National Endowment for the Arts, local grants and sponsors, Doors Open Milwaukee remains a free and accessible event.

  • Provide much needed operating support to help HMI carry out its mission of promoting Milwaukee’s history and architecture
