LGBT Milwaukee Book Talk

Kick off Pride Month in Milwaukee by joining HMI and the author, Michail Takach, of the Wisconsin LGBTQ History Project for a virtual book talk.

LGBT Milwaukee explores the history of Milwaukee’s LGBT community, including significant neighborhoods, architecture, and landmarks. Michail will be sharing content from LGBT Milwaukee, ongoing research, and a sneak peek of his upcoming book, THE GOLDEN AGE OF MILWAUKEE DRAG!

About the author: As a lifelong Milwaukeean, Michail Takach became fascinated with its nightlife culture, venues, and neighborhoods at a young age and has committed himself to researching and documenting those stories not told in history books. Takach has supported the ongoing celebration of LGBTQ culture and community through education, outreach, and advocacy since 2010.
