Celebrate the summer solstice with Historic Milwaukee and Walker & Dunlop on the rooftop of the Kinn Guesthouse downtown! This new events venue is on the rooftop of an 1868 cream city brick building on one of Milwaukee’s oldest intact blocks.
Join us for a craft cocktail, hors d’oeuvres, and presentation from the rooftop events venue.
Event program:
5:30 pm – 6:30 pm: Enjoy a craft cocktail, hors d’oeuvres on the roof and take a tour of a guest floor.
6:30 pm: Presentation with Charles Bailey. Learn about the extensive renovation efforts of this historic building.
Ticket Includes: Spectacular views from the indoor/outdoor rooftop events venue; one old fashioned; hors d’oeuvres; and presentation.
About the building: The Lawrence Block, a group investment led by Judah Lawrence, was a four-story speculative retail and loft manufacturing space with seven storefronts. The 1868 cream city brick building was home to tenants including crockery merchants, garment manufacturers, milliners, notions, furs and more. The Guesthouse is a newly renovated 31-room hotel, designed by Vetter Architects and built by Pepper Construction, with communal spaces and shared kitchen on each floor of guest rooms.
