Wisconsin Club Holiday Party
Celebrate the holiday season at the Wisconsin Club with Historic Milwaukee. Guests will enjoy live holiday music from pianist John Hefter, a meal and desert, and a talk about architect Edward Townsend Mix with Art History MIAD Professor Chris Szczesny Adams.
The Wisconsin Club was originally constructed as Alexander Mitchell’s residence in the 1840s and remodeled and expanded in the 1870s with architect Edward Townsend Mix. Mix was a prominent architect and served as the state architect for Wisconsin. He designed many buildings throughout the Midwest including the Soldiers Home; Mitchell Building; Mackie Building; and Best Place at the Historic Pabst Brewery.
