Material: Ceramic

Inspiration: The Imperial Hotel in Tokyo, Japan, was designed and constructed for almost a decade (1913-1922) and became an architectural icon for the city. Unfortunately, due to damaged sustained from earthquakes, the landmark was demolished in 1968. However, years prior, in 1923, the main entrance and hotel lobby were preserved and reconstructed at the Museum Meiji-mura, an open-air architectural museum near Nagoya in Aichi prefecture.
