Washington Park – Poster

The Washington Park poster features the area’s beloved art deco structure, the Temple of Music Bandshell. The bandshell is located within Washington Park proper and was a 1938 gift from brewer Emil Blatz.

Based on her popular series of posters published by the City of Milwaukee in the 1980s, artist Jan Kotowicz has created eleven brand-new neighborhood posters in 2015 as part of John Gurda’s new book, Milwaukee: City of Neighborhoods.
