Building Description
For information about the Club, please contact George Edward: 3georgediane@gmail.com; (414) 425-8635.
Many of the original features are still intact, including subway tile, tin ceiling panels, and some steam heat fixtures. The models inside are built to ¼-inch scale, some dating back to pre-WWII.
A former Milwaukee Road Station, built more than 100 years ago, is the “temporary” home of one of the oldest O Scale layouts, anywhere. The Club took over in 1936, a few years after the railroad stopped using the building. This club has been in the same place longer than any other club in the USA. What you will see is their second layout, completed in 1950.
Also, the size of the trains was the primary size of model trains prior to World War Two, and now it is a minority size, as it does take up a LOT of space!
