Building Description

Since 1972, the Union Cinema, located in the newly renvoted UWM Student Union, has delivered a variety of entertaining and intellectually engaging film and video programming. During the academic year, it shows first-run foreign, domestic, documentary and experimental films, as well as cinema classics from all over the world. In addition to providing a top filmgoing experience, the cinema strives to develop a broader understanding and appreciation of the universal language of film. 

Visitor Experience

If you’ve ever sat in a movie theater, looked up at the projection booth and wondered what it was like, you won’t have to wonder any more. Visitors will receive a behind-the-scenes tour of the cinema and its booth with a projectionist.
