Building Description
Built in phases beginning in the mid-19th century, the Best Place at the Historic Pabst Brewery was once the main building of the Pabst Brewing Company. Originally designed by Milwaukee architect Edward Townsend Mix as a public school, the building was transformed and expanded over the years as part of the Pabst brewery complex. Today, Best Place offers a glimpse into Milwaukee’s brewing history and the iconic Pabst Brewery campus.
Visitor Experience
Step inside Best Place at the Historic Pabst Brewery and explore the building’s third-floor Board Room. This year’s visit includes a special tribute to the 250th anniversary of the United States and the 25th anniversary of the accepted offer to purchase the Pabst Brewery on September 11, 2001.
