America's Black Holocaust Museum's exhibits, educational programming, and community partnerships promote racial repair, healing, and reconciliation.

Visit America’s Black Holocaust Museum’s physical facility re-opened in 2022, the new exhibits encompass over 400 years of history.

This museum shares the story of the African-American experience from pre-captivity to the present as an integral part of U.S. history. Exhibits which include the following displays: story of African people before captivity, the trans-Atlantic slave trade, auction blocks, the civil rights movement (both past and present), and more.

America’s Black Holocaust Museum was founded by lynching survivor Dr. James Cameron. The museum recognizes the contributions of freedom-loving people – black and white – who have worked and continue to work for racial justice, with a special focus on Milwaukee area civil rights leaders.

In addition to the in person museum, a virtual museum at www.abhmuseum.org shares this story to a broader national and international audience.

Thanks to Herb Kohl Philanthropies, supporter of America’s Black Holocaust Museum, for making this free admission day possible.
