Baird Center is Wisconsin’s premier convention, meeting and exhibition venue. Following a transformative $456 million expansion that doubled its footprint to 1.3 million square feet, Milwaukee’s convention center has become an award-winning, state-of-the-art destination, welcoming nearly one million attendees and hosting more than 200 events each year.
The impact of Baird Center extends far beyond the events it hosts. In 2025 alone, the venue generated a record $154.1 million in economic impact while setting the standard for sustainability through LEED Gold-certified operations, innovative waste-reduction programs and environmentally responsible practices. Baird Center also serves as a catalyst for community, supporting local nonprofits, showcasing Milwaukee businesses and creating opportunities that strengthen the region.
Visitor Experience
For Doors Open Milwaukee 2026, Baird Center will welcome guests to explore its North Building on Sunday, September 27, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Visitors can experience everything from the iconic rooftop Baird Ballroom to the soaring 300,000-square-foot Exhibit Hall, offering a behind-the-scenes look at one of the Midwest’s premier event destinations. Guests can also enjoy a self-guided tour of the award-winning We Energies Foundation Art Collection, featuring more than 50 public art commissions by over 35 artists—most of them from the Milwaukee area—celebrating the city’s vibrant creative community.
