Barrel of Monkeys is an emerging artist collective dedicated to creating connection, collaboration, and outreach through personal practice and dedication to community.
We aim to contribute to the ever-changing Milwaukee art scene by providing space for working artists through collective events.
Visitor Experience
Barrel O’ Monkeys would like to invite the public to explore the studio spaces of 8 multidisciplinary artists and a duo exhibition featuring recent undergraduates Livinia Rosenthal and Marta Tereziya.

Sunday – Artist talk by Marta Tereziya at 2pm
Artist Bio:
Born in Ukraine and based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Marta Tereziya is a painter, woodworker, and installation artist whose practice explores the innate relationship between humans and the natural world. Drawing inspiration from the unspoken rules of nature, her work invites moments of stillness, reflection, and reconnection. Through her airy brushstrokes and gentle use of material, Tereziya creates spaces that evoke a sense of calm while encouraging viewers to understand their place in this existence.
Tereziya received her Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Milwaukee Institute of Art & Design, where she majored in Fine Art + NSP and minored in Furniture. Her work has been exhibited in galleries and museums throughout the United States. She was a recipient of the Tidal Shift National Award, with her work exhibited at the Portland Museum of Art in Maine, was selected as one of 50 artists for the Wisconsin Artists Biennial 2026 at the Museum of Wisconsin Art, and has exhibited at the John Michael Kohler Arts Center.
