Connector Building – Home of Kuumba Juice & Coffee

The Connector Building is home to Kuumba Juice & Coffee and serves as a meeting space for residents of Harambee & Riverwest. The building is located along the Beerline Trail and connects the two communities. The building features a coffee shop and a community room that showcases a photo gallery highlighting the history of the Beerline Railroad. The Connector Building celebrated its ribbon cutting in September 2023. The former building was a dilapidated mechanic shop that sat vacant for years. Now, it is a vibrant space to gather with friends, neighbors, and community leaders. The patio features 3 murals from local artists and is a green infrastructure project through its porous pavement.
