Building Description
This building celebrates 150 years in 2026. It is the quintessential corner store with commercial space on the first floor and the owner’s residence upstairs. It was a gathering place for the community first as a dry goods or flour and feed store. Later it became a grocery store serving the community with fresh meats, canned goods and produce. Today it has been repurposed as a photo studio and gallery. It is still a gathering place and for the weekend will features the sculptures of a local artist. Besides the gallery show, the garden will be open, and an exhibit featuring the building’s history will be on display.
Visitor Experience
Throughout the weekend, we’ll be offering short guided tours of the storefront, gallery and garden. The space will feature the current art show of sculptures but guests will also be able to learn about the history of the building with photos and a few artifacts from the building’s past. A pamphlet to take a self guided tour will be available as well.
