Miller High Life Theatre

Since opening its doors in 1909, Miller High Life Theatre has stood as one of Milwaukee’s most iconic gathering places, welcoming generations of audiences for world-class entertainment, civic events and historic moments. Originally known as the Milwaukee Auditorium, the venue has hosted everyone from presidents and political leaders to legendary entertainers, earning its place in both the city’s and the nation’s history. Over the decades, its stage has welcomed unforgettable performances by artists including David Bowie, Sting, Dolly Parton, Mariah Carey and the Radio City Rockettes, along with acclaimed comedians, graduations, conventions and countless community celebrations.

In the early 2000s, the historic theater underwent a transformative $41.9 million renovation that carefully restored its architectural character while introducing modern seating, acoustics, technology and guest amenities. Reopening in 2003 as the Milwaukee Theatre before later becoming Miller High Life Theatre, the venue preserved its rich heritage while evolving into a premier destination for live entertainment and special events. Today, more than a century after it first opened, the theater continues to blend historic charm with modern capabilities, remaining an integral part of Milwaukee’s cultural landscape.
