Building Description

The Milwaukee Fire Education Center’s Milwaukee Survive Alive House is a fire safety simulation house located inside the building, complete with two realistic bedrooms. Opened in 1992, the house welcomes every 2nd and 5th-grade student in Milwaukee Public Schools (MPS) during the school year to learn vital fire safety skills taught by real-life Milwaukee Fire Department firefighters. During the summer, the house opens its doors to other youth organizations.

Visitor Experience

As they visit the classroom, visitors will watch a video of the house simulation in action before touring the inside of the Survive Alive house.
