Building Description
They started their foray into the world of retro tech by supplying Polaroid with refurbished and restored vintage instant cameras and now offer a full line of vintage camera models in addition to developing official Polaroid camera collaborations with both national and international brands, such as Mattel, Sanrio, FENDI and Pepsi.
Since 2008, they have pursued vintage electronics and the delight of analog technology, breathing new life into cameras, portable cassette players, classic gaming consoles and other retro tech oddities. Visit Retrospekt.com for more information on Retrospekt and its offerings.
In August 2020, Retrospekt moved to the Riverwest neighborhood. Formerly the original Frigidaire building built in the 1940s, they now coexist with Gathering Place Brewing Company and Red Schafer Mixed Martial Arts in a a mixed-use building. At 15,000 square feet, the new space has allowed Retrospekt to expand their production operations and online fulfillment capabilities. The location also has a small retail shop with a selection of vinyl records, film and instant cameras — and of course any online purchase can be ordered for local pickup!
Visitor Experience
Visitors can join a brief tour of the workshop to see behind-the-scenes magic bringing analog tech to life. Tours will be given by Retrospekt staff and will occur approximately every 30 minutes.
