Building Description

Visitors to Safe & Sound will step into a reimagined space that reflects the heart of Milwaukee’s neighborhoods: resilient, welcoming, and full of possibility. Once an abandoned church, our building has been thoughtfully transformed into a vibrant community hub where safety, connection, and empowerment come to life.

Guests will experience a warm, community-centered environment where residents, youth, and partners come together, the story of our building’s transformation from vacant to vibrant, a firsthand look at how Safe & Sound is working alongside neighbors to build safer, stronger communities and visitors will also have the opportunity to explore our newly completed Peace Pavilion, a space intentionally designed for reflection, healing, and community connection.

Visitor Experience

Safe & Sound will offer both guided tours and self-guided exploration options throughout the day.

Visitors will be invited to engage in a “Front Porch Conversation” simulation (a signature Safe & Sound approach to building trust and connection with residents), add to our Community Wall, sharing what safety and community mean to them and explore neighborhood safety resources, including tips, tools, and ways to get involved locally.
