Building Description
Saint John’s On The Lake is a vibrant, inclusive senior living community located on the bluffs of Lake Michigan. Visitors will enjoy guided tours to view award-winning architecture, including the Federalist-style chapel designed by the Milwaukee firm, AG Architects and the South Tower designed by Perkins-Eastman of Chicago, Illinois. You’ll visit two distinctly different restaurants, our state-of-the-art fitness center and warm water spa. Kids can swing on a glider, look out over the butterfly garden, find the bee colonies and enjoy breathtaking lake views from our “secret garden,” the plaza, complete with a putting green. Visitors will also enjoy the latest MOWA Museum of Wisconsin Art exhibit at Saint John’s.
Founded in 1868 by women of the Episcopal Church, Saint John’s has provided innovative, life-changing services to older adults for 155 years. Saint John’s is a 501C3 Corporation overseen by a fifteen-member Board of Directors, including two resident members. Previously located downtown on Cass Street, Saint John’s moved to our current location on the lake in 1979.
