Saint Sebastian Church

Established in 1911, St. Sebastian Church has been a landmark of Milwaukee’s Washington Heights neighborhood for more than a century. The present church, completed in 1930 during the height of the Depression and designed by architects Herbst and Kuenzli, is a magnificent example of French Gothic architecture with American adaptations. Visitors are invited to explore the church’s soaring interior, intricate architectural details, rich religious symbolism, and stunning stained-glass and mosaic windows created with glass from America, Germany, Austria, Italy, and France.
