2025 Event: This year’s gala will be held at one of the areas newest event venues, Bucyrus Club & Event Center in South Milwaukee. The lunch event will kick off with hors d’oeuvres, a silent auction and tours of the Bucyrus Museum. A sit-down catered lunch and program in the ballroom will follow.

11 am: Doors open, enjoy hors d’oeuvres and tour the Bucyrus Museum

12 pm: Lunch & Awards Program. Honoring Friends and Partners of Historic Milwaukee.

    1. German Pork Schnitzel: Tender pork loin pounded thin, breaded and pan-fried. Served with herbed spaetzle and a whole grain mustard aioli.
    2. Bourbon Chicken: Chicken breast roasted to golden brown perfection, glazed with sweet and savory bourbon sauce with sautéed onions and garlic shrewd with mashed potatoes and green beans.
    3. Tortellini Alfredo (Vegetarian Option): Three cheese tortellini Alfredo with roasted veggies and our red bell pepper pesto

Architect: Zimmerman Architectural Studios for the design of historic restoration of the Bucyrus building.
Neighborhood Partner: Historic King Drive for developing mobile app tour with Historic Milwaukee in 2024.
Walk of Fame: In memory of Bob Giese; Sean Reagan for leading countless tours and launching Historic Milwaukee’s podcast.

About the Venue 

Since the building’s construction in 1892, it’s served as a furniture factory, assembly shop, employee club, and community center. Now home to an events venue, restaurant and museum showcasing the history of Bucyrus’ world-class earth moving, crane, and drilling equipment. The building was renovated and opened in 2021, designed by Zimmerman Architectural Studios and developed by CG Schmidt.
